I am installing a SC and when I was re-connecting the egr line to the EGR, It broke. Can you guys think of anything I can do to get around this? What if I make a blockoff plate and and place that over the egr hole in the intake, then place the EGR valve over that. I would then blockoff the outlet out of the headers. WOuld this enable the EGR to think it's working so my Check Engine light stays off, yet still allow my car to run ok>?

I really want to drive my car today!

THanks

do you mean the vaccum line because if its that then just go down to autozone and buy a little roll of that tubing.

If you're talking about the steel tube from the header to the valve - i broke mine when i was putting my engine back in and i just blocked it off at the top and bottom of the tube with some plugs that i machined. Ive had no problems with it thus far - and a few months later, i broke that green vacume line, so i just siliconed that off too - my car has zero emissions stuff on it now - and it runs just the same... hope that helps = BTW if it is the tube, ford wants 70 bones for it, so i did make one - and then decided not to use it.. Just FYI

It is the metal tube.. I think i will follow your advice and block it off..
Thanks for the help. I did break a rubber line too, and will go to the part store here shortly for that. If I get all this taken care of, i should be able to drive today
