I have an 04 Cobra, and lately I have been noticing a sort of burning smell coming from the drivers side rear wheel. There are no signs of rubbing, no odd sounds, and the pads and rotors look to be fine. the car only has 27,000 miles on it. I have taken off the caliper and pads, cleaned them up, checked the pins and e-brake, everything seems to be in working order. The car is in perfect condition, has no leaks of any kind, and seems otherwise to be just fine. Any ideas??

Wow, I noticed the same problem on my car today. Glad I found this post! I can't find the cause either...everthing looks in order but the smell is quite noticeable and strongest behind that wheel. Mine's an 03 V6.

so I am not sure how I missed this, but the cause was the outer cover on the fuel talk. SOmehow my exdhaust pipe got pushed up on it and the plastic was melting onto the pipe, causing the burning smell. Well, at least it wasnt anything expensive to replace lol
