I just went to start my 03 GT and it unlocked fine with the remote entry, and the dome light went on. When I went to start it the lights on the dash came on for a second and it made a weird noise and everything went black. Nothing works now, not even power locks. Try to turn the key and nuthin happens at all. I was just driving the car a couple hours earlier with no issues, didnt leave anythin on to drain battery and it looks like it had enough juice at first. Fuse or sumthin?

Thanks everybody

I would try a jump first to see if it starts.

Also, make sure that the battery cables are clean and secure.

after you try that maybe try testing battery to see if it has juice. if it doesn't perhaps inline fuse blew for some reason?

Any way to check an inline fuse? I looked around in the fuse box and under the hood and everythin looks ok.

What did the "weird noise" sound like?

It was kind of a click, not as loud as a pop. Kind of a "chachung" sound. Sorry for my attempts at being descriptive.

Ok, this is crazy. I went out there, and when I opened the door to pop the hood the dome light came on. So I tried starting it, and it didnt sound great but eventually turned over. The gauges went to normal for about 3 seconds, then dropped to zero for about 3 seconds, then came back up. I started drivin it around a little bit and I turned the radio off. The radio started freakin out, sounded like it was constantly shifting the discs in the changer. Eventually it stopped and car seems normal for now. Any ideas on these electrical demons? I dont wanna get stranded somewhere tomorrow. Thanks guys.

haha.. yeah.. that can be a bit un-nerving.. Check your battery terminals for corrosion/tightness.

I have had the same thing happen to my 04, lose battery cable...
You can always check your error codes on your odometer...

the churning in the cd player is normal. The first time I heard it I freaked. It does that when the battery is reconnected after power is cut. It will cycle through all the discs in the changer for about 1 minute before stopping after the cd player is turned on for the first time.

It sounds like one of your battery cables was loose and killed the power to the car completely.
