Same problem here. My gauge reads just over 130. Top hose is very soft. Replaced temp sensor and tested temp gauge (ground with key on sends it to 270).
Was very confused why coolant didn't piss out of sensor hole in intake manifold during the swap because it's below the coolant level of the full radiator... Which started me researching air locks.
I have heat.
Changed cap.
Reservoir seems to be working.
Never need to add coolant.
Car seems to run fine. I just bought it and am killing gremlins one at a time.
