Help!!!!! Factory Ford Alarm Questions

My dad just recently bought a 96 V6 and I wanted to know if it has a Ford alarm in it... I think it does but just want to make sure....

1. when I lock the car with the power door locks the parking lights blink once, then when I close the door it blinks again..

2. Under the dash there is this box with a ford security sticker on it...... Next to it there is a black plug with a red center that is not pluged in to anything were do you think it goes??

3. Under the hood there are to wires that has been cut...Does it connect to a siren??

4. on the steering column/dash there is a red LED light...

So, do you think I can just buy a remote and be able to program it to work??

Yours is a '96, right? I'm not sure on your year, but I know for the '99-'04 the Ford alarm does not have that little LED.

That is an aftermarket alarm.

There is no factory alarm in our cars except the PATS.

Lsredy2kstang - Ok so how do you explain when I lock the doors with the power door locks on the door my parking lights blink, and when I open the door with the key it starts blinking on and off until I turn the ignition to on??

Also, I checked the rear drivers quarter panel and it has that bracket which someone told me its for an alram??

So do you think I can use a ford remote and program it ??
