im looking at getting a foxbody but i got in it put it in gear and the rpm went up to 3k without me even giveing it gas could this be the tps or something else?
There is insufficient information to come to any conclusions. You need to describe the car and it's modifications in order to provide a basis to make a diagnosis.
5 speed or auto trans?
Engine modifications?
Carb or EFI?
Does the electrical wiring look like a rat's nest of odd wires with a lot of splices and stray wires, or is it neat and stock looking?
