My gas pedal is being a real PITA. it well get stuck closed. I go to push on it and its like a rock it wont budge. I pushed on the t/b and its hard there to so its not just the pedal. After today's little insedent of almost getting sqwashed by a big ass truck I kinda want to get it fixed. Im thinking cleaning the t/b but how and what do I clean it with? Should I just squirt some starting fluid in there and step on the gas pedal a few times?

Thanks for the info

adjust the screw under the throttle body that hits the plate and makes the throttle plate actually open a hair. just make that screw touch barely. then reset your tps. cleaning it won't help, but if that screw isn't touching the throttle plate, just barely barely holding it, when the throttle snaps shut it'll stick shut.

Ok that might explain it. The other night i had to adjust my idle it was at 1200. So someone told me to turn that screw to get my idle down to 800 were it should be. so i did but i had to turn it alot. and the next day after i did this thats when the pedal started sticking. Also how do i reset my tps?

i personally dont think that with teh butterfly getting stuck closed u can have that much of a stick...it will stick but it will break free, it wont be liek a rock.....if your cable is stock check out ebay or something and get a new one or if the TB is stock time for that 65mm. i would personally borrow a TB form a friend and see. all my experieces with stuck pedals were 90% the TBs fault. good luck.
