So I finally found time to get under the car and look to see what was damaged when I hopped the curb and went through the store. So my x-brace(this is on an 89 gt vert) is bent up and touching the front swaybar on both sides. I am talking about the piece that bolts to the center of the k member and then runs to the lower radiator support. What did this damage? Can I just straighten it out and be done with it?
Don't know if this is related or not. I have a freaking BAD vibration when my clutch is engaged between idle and 3000 rpm in 1st 2nd a little in 3rd. Dont know if this has anything to do with the x brace or not. It is bad enough to knock your teeth out. Almost feels as if I have a horrible miss with solid motor mounts. Interestingly enough, if I push the clutch pedal to the floor the vibration immedietaly stops. Any ideas on this one? is my t5 about to hit the floor?
