Help I want to put this T5 in our Cobra II

Needs a GIF to go along with it....

This kinda chit. This right here... This is why I'm a II guy. We do crazy :poo:, we encourage each other to do crazy :poo:, and we NEVER take ourselves too seriously.

People who start the car in gear without foot on clutch?....:ohoh:
Put the manual transmission in neutral and start than. I hate modern cars where you need to push the clutch to get the starter working. By the way its better for the bearings and you transmission gets kind of pre oiled if you are in neutral. You also have two feet for brake and gas pedal, e.g. if it's cold and the car needs a little bit more fuel and air...

I totally forgot about this! I'm gonna dig this one from the grave..... Did you ever get all the required parts and/or get it swapped, or are you guys having II much fun with it the way it is? I'm guessing it's a future project and on the back burner - kinda like most all of mine!

I thought the 45 yr old C4 would die by now.

it's a future project and on the back burner

It has been driven regularly and runs good the way it is, so I haven’t pursued the swap.
Got to quit fixing things that aren’t broke
Would still need bell, flywheel, starter, ambition and a
shortened drive shaft.

However the float or needle and seat just took a dump this week and its not running right.
Lots of black smoke ( James Bond would of been impressed)

Went and rescued daughter off side of road (it drove home, roughly, black smoke and all)
She has an appreciation for the fact that it is a rare neat old car (with old car quirks).
And likes driving it. Says people give her thumbs up and stare..
Something which all old Mustang owners understand.

Yess the paint is falling off deck lid, damn can of paint was years old so...

Didn't think you've swapped anything since I didn't even remember this thread much less any kind of progress thread regarding the swap. And I can completely understand the "someday" projects piling up - as I'm sure you already know.
