Help I want to put this T5 in our Cobra II

Looks right but not having the clip on the new cable is no a big deal imo. Actually simplifies it. I have found mine unattached before. I've driven it without it clipped. I think it's more for keeping a loose cable in place. Keep it adjusted and the clip is useless.

My bracket is made of aluminum, your looks like steel.Since I don't think the clip does much if your adjusted correctly. I wouldn't worry about a lip. I would just notch the steel pipe and call it a day. I am probably wrong but I would think it will last a long time before working into the plastic.

My plastic teeth are mangled too. My kid was in the car pushing the clutch after installing it while I adjusted it. At the time I had not cut the spring in half on the transmission end. He forced the pedal to the floor and it mangled them. Took me a minute to figure out what was wrong. Don't force the pedal. If its too tight cut the spring down.

I did find a 1992 style top so I could hook up the neutral safety switch

13$ was the right price, but the switch itself is 20$
Some one just told me this switch just sends a voltage signal to the computer so it won't hook up as I'm imagining. Is that correct?

It may be my faulty memory but looking at your cable the spring appears shorter than mine was. Have someone in the car pressing the clutch pedal as you watch the spring. If it's binding then cut. I want to say the pioneer cable spring was almost 10" long out of the box. I left about 6" on it.

Nothing on passenger side but fill and drain plugs
Nothing on the top cover.
Just what I see is the reverse light sensor and the speedo sender plug, I guess.

I am pretty sure our II's used a switch on the clutch pedal for neutrel safety and cruise control. I remember seeing the bracket to hold the sensor on the pedal. My rad4 only has the one reverse sensor. The wiring diagram only shows 2 wires to trans which are reverse.

From what I've read. It was a neutral safety switch for cruise control. Not an option for the II's as far as I know. You don't need it.
Go to MDL's website and click on the FAQ's for T5's. I think that is where I read about it.
