ok... so swap...!!

ok swap them, are they labled, i havent really looked at em.. ok, after i swap see if it still runs bad, i know its missfire because of code, so how to clear code???, i assume disco battery??, kinda new to 4.6l ... thanks for all help...!!

all the coils will interchange. just swap the #7 and #8 coils and see if the misfire goes to cyl #7. if so just get a new coil

you can reset the light by disconnecting the battery or with a hand held scanner
 
ok, im so confused I have a 98 mustang gt, it has 2 coils with four outputs... so your saying to swap them, ok i understand that, but the last fewposts state to swap #7 and #8.. at the coils? that doesnt make sence as it will missfire.. and run worse than now... correct me if im wrong.. I understand newer stangs have individ coils for each plug.. but mine does not!! at least i think ....LOL
 
Even easier, I didn't notice the plug wires in the pictures!!!

Basically change your 7 and 8 plug wires. If the misfire follows the number 8 plug wire to cylinder 7. Then if it does, then you can easily replace your wires and misfire solved.
