Im wanting to build a heck of a street car, trying to get some ideas on what way to go....

Here is what my build is going to consist of..

74 block. .030 over
flat top pistons,
some unknown aluminum heads 2.02's going to be ported way out.
ported victor jr intake with holley 650 dp

cant decide on a cam, thinking of going with a solid setup... car will be street driven,,,, but I have heard with some good locks, the valves may only need to be adjusted every oil change or so? what you guys think on a good cam... I will be running 3.73's to 4.10's

trans is a c4 with 4500-5000 converter

would like to see 11's n/a maybe 10's on nitrous

Our 66 Shelby runs Canfield state 2 heads, and is stroked as well (past 347), and running a solid cam, and 14.5:1 compression it's made 485 or so to the crank. Look at either Canfields or some big AFRs.

Aim for 350 to the tire and 11s are easy on a track oriented car. I think trying for 400 whp on a 302 your going to need to know what heads you have, etc...

If I were u I would look for a 351w block since that way you could make 450 with ease on not be on the ragged edge with that 302. Plus you could go hydraulic and stay on pump gas...

Just my two cents..
