Hello Ladies and Gents,
I'm usually on the Classic forum but since I'm just about done with my '68 project I'm ready to dig into my 88 GT convertible. It's got a TracLoc rearend with whatever gears were standard (anyone know?). I don't have any experience with the EFI stuff so I'm looking for advice.
I want to have a good strong driver with the most Torque and HP for the buck. It's a street car and won't see any track duty. I won't be doing any launches at 3K RPM.
BUT - I DO want to run with Camaro SS's and 2005 + GTs. I don't want to buy new heads either.
Soooo, does anyone out there have a proven combo that meets this criteria?
I'm specifically looking for
(1) a good cam/intake combo,
(2) any head modifications that I can make to the stock heads, and
(3) any other way to get good streetable performance
EDIT: (4) Or should I buy some whizzbang computer or electronics?
Should I spend my money on forged pistons and go NOS?
I've got about 1K to spend on parts...help me make the most if it!
Thanks in advance
