Help Me Decide on Next Mod Please

Alright I am so confused right now on what to do next. I have 300$ from graduation money  and I am being pulled all over for different things. Here are the things I am debating on, if you have any other suggestions make them, but it has to be under 300$:
1. Prochamber. I hate the sound of my BBK, but it works so I really can't complain. I don't like the sound of my BBK, but I don't know if I want to replace it yet. Which pipe performs better, BBK or Prochamber??
2. Accufab plenum. It looks shiny and the dyno results seem pretty good.
3. Accufab 75mm throttle body. I can't afford both the plenum and T/B right now so I could only do one or the other that's why I am debating on these two.
4. MAC straight shot intake with 85mm MAF. I want an intake and this looks like the best bang for the buck. Plus it's shiny. Shiny is good if you can't tel already.

Ok those are the parts I want. Please help me decide on what is going to be best for me and my car. My mods I have right now are in my sig along with my e.t. Any help is going to be greatly appreciated, and remember I just graduated and I am on a limited budget and can only afford about 250$ worth of mods a month so ya I dunno if that helps any. Thanks again.

Ya I know I messed up by buying the BBK but I got it off a friend for 75$ so I thought I couldn't go wrong........

Anyways, which is better, the Accufab or the C&L?

Accufab hands down. The consistancy of HP and TQ gains are great. I got the C&L because of it's price.

Ya I just looked at an old post about the two plenums and there is only a gain of about 2 hp with the Accufab and it's shiny so the Accufab is good in my book. Thanks for the advice. Any other suggestions about my car, I really don't know too much about it and i'm trying to get as much information as possible in.

gears and a shifter!
I agree, a new shifter and some 4.10's maybe. Well, you could prolly only do the shifter right now, but a steeda triax and an accufab plenum would run bout 380 I think, but honestly id just save up some more money, buy the gears from mustangtuning for bout 140 bucks, then save bout 200-250 for the install. Good luck, have you thought about drag radials as well, thatd prolly get you into the 13's?

OH one more thing sorry. Do you think I could break into the 13's with the Accufab plenum or will I need to do more than that to knock off 1-2 tenths. I run 14.1-14.2 consistantly with 14.083 being my best.

definitely with more practice i'm sure you can break in to the 13's without the addition of new mods. Have you done the following:

1) rear spoiler removal
2) right side headlight remova
3) 36+psi in front tires
4) 24psi in rear tires (assuming you have street tires)
5) front sway bar removal
6) spare tire and jack removal

Remember everything counts.. Weather, track prep, driver awareness, etc.

Next mods should definitely be 4.30's if you're going to stay non supercharged and a shifter. Good luck.

If you are concerned about ET, do something with your suspension and tires.

If you are looking for power for its own sake, I'd get a timing adjuster and underdrive pulleys. The intake tract is really not a bottleneck... look at Ford's experience with the Bullitt.

Shifter and pullies!!!! That woould be $300 and only about $50 if you want to have the pullied installed. Hey, you could mow two lawns and have the money to pay to have the pullies installed.

Otherwise, get gears. Installed about $500 - $600, so you will need to save more.

As to the TB and Plenum issue, not a bad idea either, but as you said, you are alittle short on funds. I have the C&L, but would go Accufad the next time. Don't get me wrong, I like the C&L, but the #'s on the Accufab are slightly better and I really don't care about $20 - $40 bucks more.

I'm not sure that I want to do gears yet. My friend and I can install them so that's not a problem. He also has a Pro 5.0 shifter for sale for 75$, but I don't want shifting to be any more difficult. Does a shifter make it harder to shift or does it just make shifting smoother?

KappaBall: I like my rear spoiler :( . Yes I took out the right side headlight. I'm going to bring a pressure gauge the next time I go so I can use those tire pressure figures :nice: . Removing the front sway bar would hurt my cornering wouldn't it? I like to take turns. And finally I forgot about my spare and jack this time, but it will be taken out the next time.

Go Hoto: I'm not too sure about pullies.......Don't they slow down your a/c and other things? I live in FL and the 4 second delay for cold air right now is almost too long to wait.

Thanks for everybody's opinions. I appreciate it. I am leaning toward getting the Accufab Plenum, my friend's Pro 5.0(if i'm going to like it), and a Mach 1 grill delete(sold one of my old speaker boxes for 60$). Are these good decisions? I am going to go gears at a later date because right now I do A LOT of highway driving and I don't need to rev any higher cruising at 85.

The shifter will make it easier, instead of feeling like your throwing shot put, the shifts will be come MUCH shorter (as in) not having to push or pull as far which results in quicker shifts......which means better times. I think the plenum, shifter.

I have a quetion though, why take out the right side headlight?? Im not ignorant and i guess it would be for weight distribution. But could this really help this much?

From my knowledge, don't quote me, the air intake gets air from the right side of the car and if you take that headlight out(takes a whole 10 secs) air can get there easier. That's from what I know anyways. A guy in an '03 Cobra asked me if it helped at the track also and I said that I didn't know, but he had already had it out. I think this guy needs a little more help than taking the headlight out though. He ran a 13.7 to my 14.16 :notnice: . I thought Cobras were low 13-high 12 cars  ?

The BBX off road X does not sound like poo, it is you combination.

Off Road X and chambered mufflers just dont mix well.

I will agree, I like the sound of the flows and the stock H,

But with the X, get some magnaflow mufflers, or even the catback,

and that X pipe and exhaust will sound great....

How do you get "Your frist mistake was the BBK Xpipe?"

I have th bbk o/r X and magnaflow catback on my 01 GT and it sounds hardcore. I get great comments all the time.

Get the intake and the MAF. The MAF was the biggest change I felt. Just to see, I had the C&L plenum and 70mm TB on, but took off the C&L ture flow tube and 85mm MAF, and put the stock inlet tube and MAF back on. The car had no nuts. The catback was on, plasma booster, but the MAF made everything much stronger. You will barely feel the plenum or TB by themselves. Add them all together, save up for a big purchase; otherwise you'll spend 300 and get pissed because you didn't feel the gain the magazines tell you you will feel. I assume the MAF package will also include a high flow filter? Guys say that you don't need a new MAF, and that's ture to a point. You could keep your stock one if you get it calibrated every time, like a dyno tune. If you plan to supercharge, don't get pulleys. My .02.
