Help me figure out where this pion goes on C4 Rebuild

Rebuilding my C4 - first time I ever tried anything this detailed. For the most part going ok. Whne I took out the pump though a little pin fell out. Wide at bottom and tapers down to a small head on top. Attached is a picture of it by the screwdriver tip. 67 C4. Can't find any reference to it in rebuild manual or shop manula. Any help would be appreciated. thanks

Are you going to put any kind of shift kit in the valve body? I kind of know where that guy goes, but I can't describe it to you..
I'll try and find a better answer....

Yes putting a transgo stage 2 - already got the valve body done. Appreciate any help. Driving me nuts trying to figure it out.

The reason I asked is that, as I recall, that pin goes into the pump, or the stator. Don't the instructions for the VB kit show it?

I found my copy of my shift kit instructions for when I did my C4. My instructions show where that pin goes, but I can't describe it. Double check your instructions and see what they say...
If you still can't find it, email me, and I'll take a picture for you...

VB instruction have a pin to close orfice in it - but this is not it. Put a closer shot to see if any ideas.

This is the only place I can find that pin. If this isn't it, I don't know what to tell you...

So that does answer your question? Is that the same as your instructions for your shift kit? My shift kit is not the same as yours......
