As the title says i have a EFI harness but i do not know what year it came off of. This time i have pictures, please help me identify the year and what i will have to splice in order to get it to work in my 84 i have pictures of any connectors you need, i believe it is a 89-90 because it only has 2 relays. one by the MAF and one by the EEC. Thank for looking if any more pics are needed let me know

Well you said there was a MAF connector, so like you said we know it's 89+... This is gonna be fun , any part numbers on the ECM connector?

P.S. what you gonna do with that 600?

If mass air, the black and gray plugs are for either 89-early 92...but with the air bag plugs(white ones) the harness is 90-early 92. Where the black and gray plugs are the late 92 and 93 have a single brown plug.
Also, the late 92 and 93 have the fuel pump relay and a/c wot relay on the end where the mass air meter plug is.

Of course if not mass air its 87-88...don't know if the 86 is similar.

By the way i have a mass air conversion jumper harness for sale if anyone needs it. Easy conversion for speed density guys...just run the wire and re-pin the eec plug.

it is mass air. Now that i know it is a 90-92 why dont any of the colors match up on Tmoss diagram on that veryuseful.com website? How would i go about splicing into the harness to make it compatable with my 84 any idea what wires on the harness? I know i have to splice into the green, black and grey connectors, now does anyone know what wires are exactly needed? thanks again for looking i have many more pictures if needed.

A few years back i had a 85 that was converted to fuel injection using a 92 harness. It never did stay running right. I didn't convert it, just bought it for parts. I know the tfi harness(yellow wire) was tapped into along with a couple in the gray or black plug like you said. But i don't remember which. Why won't an 86 harness work if you could find one? Shouldn't the dash harness be the same?

Seriously, you're in for a lot of work. You need a schematic for your car. I just re-pinned a 90 headlight/alternator harness into my 92 since the connectors are different...it took me about an hour! I hate reading schematics, lol.

I know i need schematics of both diagrams but i was hoping what wires on the EFI harness i need to splice into to. that would be more easier than reading both, because they are confusing as hell anyways

That is a 1990 harness. The 89 & 90 harness are very similar. The main differnece is the provision for air bags, white plugs pictured above. The 89 looks identical minus the white plugs. If you are gonna use this harness in a 87 or 88 it won't work without some modifiying. 90 harnesses only work with 90 dash harnesses(for plug & play).

I am gonna use it in a 84 so it is gonna require some major splicing, I also have a 86 EFI harness, i dont know which one will be easier probably the 90 but i dont know i always thought the 86 would plug into my 84 dash.

Check on www.foureyedpride.com about the 86 hanrees plugging into the 84.

Now if you want to use the 90 harness just to run the engine and not worry about hooking it to the dash then, you will be OK.
Check out this site http://fordfuelinjection.com/ You maybe able to jump onto the fuel pump pin and run your own relay and pump wiring to go EFI..
