I'd definitely recommend gears but considering your saying you dont' have the money for the chip...maybe you want to consider Steeda pullies and timing adjuster for $300..should give you a nice SOTP feel.

Honestly I would save up a little more and then get the gears and chip/ECU reflash(it's really the best bang for the buck hands down) in this price range.

I guess it really depends on what you're looking for.

If you want a few mods that you can "feel", then the mods you want are definitely gears or a torque converter for that auto.

If you want a few mods that you can "hear", then look into exhaust mods. Some Flowmaster 1-chambers will definitely wake that 4.6L up sound-wise. Get them welded in rather than a complete catback to save on the cost. A mid-pipe is also a good idea. Although a Dr. Gas X-pipe and some Flows will sound AMAZING, you will also notice a performance difference as well (up to 20rwhp increase).

I think the general consensus here is go for the gears (nothing less than 4.10's). Gears and a catback seem great for $500

TQ converters cost a lot though...I got one for like 660 and then it cost like another 300 or so just to get it installed. yes they make an automatic A LOT more fun but expensive still never the less.

I heard that 4.10 gears will only help about 2/tenths. Would a torque converter do better??

Thanks for the input guys. I'll prolly end up doing the Dr Gas X pipe and 1 chamber flows since I REALLY do wanna hear my exhaust roar Gears and reflash comes after that when I get more cash.

BTW, I'll be sure to innagurate my car with some bouncy bouncy this weekend too
