First, welcome to Stangnet.
Be careful it can be addictive

The truck engine should swap right over, if the intake clears the stock hood on the Mustang.
You would want to use the computer and all sensors from the truck.

HOWEVER -
The truck MAF systems utilize bank injector firing (I think ALL truck computers were bank fire), as opposed to the car applications, which use sequential injector firing.
I don't see why it wouldn't work, if everything was stock. But it would be best to swap the mustang directly to a car MAF computer and MAF.

Besides, your speed density system should be ok until you get into more aggressive combinations.

I would be interested in hearing more about what you are building.
Your signature is a great place to list mods and projects in work. This way all your details will pop up everytime you ask a question.

Good Luck

Hey thanks for the welcome,

What if i out the intake from my musatng on the truck engine would that make the engine speed density and not have to switch computers and sensors? This is my first engine rebuild and im new to the speed density/ mass airflow thing where you cant really mess around with speed density

i baught the car from a friend who was going to rebuild the engine but then started racing quads so needed to sell the car so i bought it.

I heard you cant really do to much to a speed density engine so i baught everything new crank cam lifter... pretty much the whole engine except for block and heads pretty much all stock parts but i have no place to build it i could do it at my house but not enuf knowlage to.

Well SD just can't handle as much modification as a MAF can. It will still do pretty well until the h/c/i get a little more extreme.

You could use the truck long block in the Mustang.
Just take the block complete with heads, and install your Mustang intake on it. Actually you will probably have to swap the oil pan too.
Hook up all the SD from the Mustang, and you should be good to go.
The truck cam will not be that great for a car, but if you have a stock 5.0 Mustang cam, that would work well.

Another thing to watch is the water pump. Some Ford vehicles used a standard flow water pump, while the 5.0 Mustang used a reverse flow pump. Just use the water pump from the Mustang if you can.
All the other accessories should bolt right up the the truck long block.
