Alright, well I'm stuck.. I finished my suspension for now, exterior, and interior...
Now I'm moving back to the engine.

Right now its got headers to a bassani xpipe to a pypes violator cat-back. The engine is completely stock except for a vortech V2-SQ, and msd ignition.

What would be your next step towards performance? It's also got 3:73 gears and it put down 293 rwhp before the headers to cat-back.

Heres a picture of the car before the corbeau's, mach1 lip and bullit suspension package.

Before you move back to the engine throw a Cobra bumper on there and it'll look sick. Otherwise it would help to know how much money you want to spend. If you aren't talking about spending alot maybe just throw an intake on it otherwise I would throw a h/c/i at it and make some serious power. Then don't be forgetting about upgrading that tranny.

That looks sick, I was never much of a fan of the black rims but that car pulls it off well. How much do you want to do w/ the engine? W/ a Vortech on there already you have set yourself up for anywhere from 350-500 RWHP. If your looking to do H/C/I package its hard to beat the put together kits.

+1 on the cobra bumper, just keep the GT badges or I'll let the angry monkey out of the closet to come and find you.

Yeah, I dunno about the cobra bumper ( maybe) but the H/C/I kit is definitely about right.. if not a long block. The stock engine only has 55,000 miles on it so it prolly still has some decent life still in it. And yes, I definitely want to to upgrade the transmission as well.

I'm currently stationed in South Korea and have 11 months before I come back stateside so I've got some money to throw down until then.

EDIT: Also, is this H/C/I the best kit to go with for forced induction or is that more of a n NA kit with that cam?

Im not sure how that cam would work w/ a S/C or turbo, its probably ok but Im sure you could get one that is more comparable for a few hundred if you really wanted.

if anything, what i did was pretty much get that SAME kit ... i got just about everything, except for a few things.... i went with a different set of Roller rockers... instead of the aluminum ones they had, i went with a Comp Cam Steel 1.6... and as for the cam, I believe im going CompCam as well...

First off you'll need the good supporting mods to handle the extra load such as a 255lph high pressure (forced induction version) intank fuel pump, 42-50lb injectors, and a good maf such as a abaco 97mm or a SCT big air maf. A TKO 500 or similar tranny and a good clutch. I'm assuming you probably still running the FMU and add on T rex fuel pump. I would ditch the FMU but I would not install the above parts and ditch the FMU until you get a good custom tune which I would also wait to do until you get all your aftermarket parts installed otherwise you'll have to tune it twice.

Once you have the right parts to handle the power potential of your supercharged powerplant a good H/C/I combo will get you 400-500 rwhp. I would probably get AFR 165 heads with the optional nitrous exhaust port, A Holley systemax II intake, and a custom blower cam. A AFM power pipe or UPR boost tube will free up the inlet side of the blower and increase boost and power.

look into a short shifter if you dont have one already, they are cheap, easy to install, and are waaaaay nicer than stock

What is your budget and goals like mentioned above? Really we just need the budget.

I think if you did the larger MAF / injectors / custom tune / up the boost / and add an intake you could easily be looking at 350rwhp with the stock cam and heads.

Since you already have a cowl hood, you could use a Holley Systemax 1 or 2 which would give you a ton more flow for short dollars and an easy install. Your stock intake is the choke point right now...

My budget will probably be somewhere around $3K for the engine... and yes I already have the pro 5.0 shifter.

Since the car made 293 whp on the v2 and msd ignition alone, I figured with the headers, x pipe, and catback I should be close to 325 whp or more already.

Its a great kit that's why its recommended. You can also get a holly systemax kit

Holley 300-501-1 - Holley SysteMAX II Engine Systems for 5.0L Ford - summitracing.com

The preassembled kits are a great deal, all the parts are meant to work together and its cheaper then buying all the parts separately and piecing it all together.

Will this kit work for the 94-5? It says up to 93.. but anyways besides this kit what else would be ideal to make it work?

You will need an elbow adaptor for the upper intake, its set up for a fox body Throttle body set up, all you need is a 94/95 adaptor.

Its all in what you want, but I'd be tempted to replace the stock valve springs, and upgrade the injectors, MAF, and fuel pump. I'd add an intake like was suggested, and pulley the vortech for ~12lbs of boost and have a solid 380-400rwhp setup that was docile until the go pedal was mashed.

BTW- your front tire looks to be on backwards in the pic, but you may have changed it since you put the suspension on.

Haha, yeah. My dad is the one who puts on all my parts for me since I'm overseas. I saw the pictures and told him that, he couldn't believe he did that. Thought I was bull****ting him.
