help! need to find a place to get stripes.

Ok folks this is my 1st time here, me and my girl just got a black 05 GT... I want to get some racing stripes on it and I wanted to knw f anyone knows of a good place to go in upstate NY? I live near Middletown NY...so if anyone knows of a place or has had experience please let me know. We are going with a charcoal grey. thanks again

Look up threads by "orthoguy". He started another Forum called "New Stripes!! Black GT" in Stangnet several days ago with a bunch of picks of his black '05 GT with charcol gray stripes. The stripes look silver in the picture but somewhere along the way he mentioned that he got charcol gray to match his bullit wheels.

I have a Screamin' Yellow '05 GT on the way and just ordered the same stripe package for my car from the same place he got his. It's usually pretty easy to find a local shop to install them. Your dealership probably has someone who does that kind of work for cars they cusomize after delivery.

if you can afford it, just got to a body shop and get the painted on.. they look much better IMO if they're painted on.

That's crazy painting on a brand new car already, especially when you don't have to. That is the only way to get it done right though, if you're going to do it. Maybe try vinyl first to make sure you like the way it looks. Personally, I hate stripes in general. In some rare occasions, like the Ford GT they look ok, and are at least a factory option. To each, their own. Enjoy the car!

Ford sells a set of wide double stripes as an official 2005 Mustang dealer accessory. They come in either black or silver.

PS: I grew up in Orange County, NY.

cool what part?? I ended up going to auto lovers in Middletown NY and they did a great job.. i'm gonna get pic's i went with a drk charcoal color...they really are nice.... i definetly recommend them
