Help on a water temp sender

I need to hook up my Autometer water temp sender. All the wiring and gauges are complete. I want to tap and insert this sender into the top of the thermostat housing for a reading... believe me, I've exhausted every other location possibility. It will go into the thermostat elbow housing.

I'll need someone to tap it then weld on a boss (a nut to screw the sender into) onto the top of the therm housing. Question is... does anyone know anybody that could do this for me in the Chicagoland area? I don't know how to weld. and I think that the housing is made of cast aluminum? which is even tricky to handle?
