Alright its been awhile since i have been on here. We did a 93 computer swap in my car. We used pro-m's gen2 pih swap. Now when you drive it and it gets under a load it miss fires. We have rechecked all of our pins and they are all in good we just cant get it to stop missing under a load dont know why. Anyone have this problem before or know what i need to do to fix it

i think you need to upgrade the ignition when you do that swap,i'm not sure why though.. try a coil first then maybe a msd 6al that should fix it.

Its probably similar to why you have to upgrade the ignition when you run a PMS. On our cars, the TFI module is remotely mounted so its signal is "weaker" than on a fox body where its on the dizzy. So, an aftermarket ignition like MSD, mallory, crane, etc will make it strong enough for the computer to read the signal. Just a coil alone wont do it but you will probably buy a new coil because i dont think stock coils can last too long on an aftermarket ignition.

Probably dont want to hear this part but you shoulda just "tuned" the stock computer. When our computers are tuned...they are BETTER than the stock fox body computer and JUST AS GOOD as a fox body tuned. Some people argue that ours are even better because our computers are load based and fox's are _______(i forget) or something of the like.

Anyway, hope it works out for you. If it still gives your problems, i say sell it and buy a tweecer, pms, chip, etc etc etc. :nice:
