hi, so finally after a long time I finally was able to afford and save some cash to get my car painted and get new interior and a whole restoration job ,

its a 2003 Mustang GT.
with saleen kit on it

and I am about to paint it blue , but here where I got stuck , I wanted something good, and head turning .

I was thinking of one of the following but yet I can't find any color codes so If you can help me choose the color and help me find the right code for it, Thanks in advance.

the color must be blue , and I am getting white stripes on it .

so here we go ,

Diamond blue

Alot of good body shops will have a book with the name of the paint and the code so they can mix it there. Are you painting your car yourself or having it done? Are you set on the lighter blue?

the thing is I am sending it to the KIA workshop, for the fact they are one of the BEST in my area , and they guaranty a good long lasting paint work , "and that I have a friend there who get me about 65% discount :D "

so there where they showed me the KIA diamond blue, and I kinnda like it , but found a few stangs in my area that have the same color, so I went for a lighter one ,

and they showed me small samples book , but it's TOO HARD to get the real image from this 1X1" paint paper .

that is why I am here, to get ideas from other people who might have done this kinnda work before.

Depeneds. But if i had a choice id go with diamond blue that dark shadeis the best

I see only small deference between the diamond and candy blue one , but seems I am going with the candy blue, anyway you can tell the paint code and what base color ?
sorry for the many questions but I am new in the paint world ;)

my favorite blue is Kona Blue

it's nice color , but I dont think it would be good on my stang or any 99-04s, maybe because it has too many curves ?

IMO, I think going with a lighter color would show the "details" of the car. do I make any sense ?

here is a photo I found on some other site .

according to the guy who made this awesome paint, its candy blue over black base.

so , no because I am a little lost, is CANDY paint style or it's a special paint,
a friend told me to get this , just black base, get the right shade of blue and mix it with a loot of pearl ...and this finish the job. is that right ??

Please help awesome people !

True candy paint is a technique using a transparent paint over a base, usually silver or gold, but there aren't any rules. It's not easily applied - with a transparent paint you layer it until you have the shade you want and getting the multiple coats down evenly can be very tricky...it'll either be very expensive or poorly done.
Go with good ol' True Blue FTW!
