i bought this car with no engine in and no wireing harness installed,i just am now getting to the finishing touches on the engine and i need some pictures of the wire harness and what hooks to what and possibly some vacuum line pictures my car is a 4 cyl. Detailed pictures would help Tremendously probly save the car from a dent or 2 my email is richie_mann@yahoo.com

At this time I think a Painless set up your best bet.


And buy a book.

About the vacuum,

Cap every port and worry about it after the car fires.

Set timming and idle, play a bit.

Then hook the carb port that sucks when the throttle is opened to the appropriate port on the distributer. The correct port being the one that advances the timing.

Go from there.

my car is a 77 im getting it to turn over now i have 2 books a chilton and a haynes both only have wiring my problem is that my car came with 2 engines so i have 2 diferent carbs,exaust,intake and whatever else for emision controlls including the vacuum line assemblies

This is for a -74. It is probably different from year to year. Anyway, you might be able to get an idea of how to draw the hoses. Hope it helps you out!
