HELP! Vortech'd 04 GT - Oil getting in Powerpipe, car barely running....

I call totall :bs: on the synthetic causing superchargers to fail. NO way vortech puts thier supercharger on cars that are required to run full synthetic like the corvette camaro and lexus. also our gts service manual recommends a synthetic blend. If that was the case those OTHER guys would have nothing but problems. total :bs: :bs: :bs: :bs: :bs: :bs: :bs: :bs: :bs: :bs:

Well read the Vortech Manual it says right in there.

I actually have the same problem. V2SQ is new from last may,has 1500 miles on it and started to leak after 500 miles.

First i thought it was coming from the passenger side of the valv cover so i installed an oil separator. Cleaned everything after.

Still oil in the Power pipe and the tube from the driver side is dry as my grand ma.

Its a blown seal that s taking oil from inside the unit into the discharge pipe and into the plenum. Oil is getting sucked from the intake of the blower thru the AIC.

Mine got so worst, the bearings went also. Dont ask me why but the sound out of that blower is scary as sh...it

I m about to get it out of the car and to Vortech.

My blower doesn't sound nearly as bad as what yours is, but i do have those same exact issues. I put a breather on my drivers side valve cover, and a oil separator on the passenger side just this weekend. No oil in either, so i'm assuming that oil is back in the powerpipe and i didnt' even his 1 pound of boost the whole time.

I say its the SC. The car may not be running right because the oil has fouled the MAF

I jsut cleaned everything out, the car still is idling kinda funny... and i still have to hold the gas down and start it to get it running, rev it up a bit just to get it to idle... i haven't driven it into boost at all this whole weekend, goign to check tonight to see if more oil is in there. Is it possible, even with the cleaning, that the MAF is bad now?

Yes. The coating on the wires can get worn off with oil, as well as cleaning products. You should put your car back to stock if you still have the injectors/maf/intake laying around, then ship the head unit back to vortech - you can run a stock belt on their if you have to without changing anything around.
