I need a set of valve covers. My stockers are too short for my RRs. I have a set of trickflow valve covers that are too tall for my intake(theyre beat up anyway). SO I can only assume that Ill have to have a phenolic(sp?) spacer for the intake to clear a tall set of VCs. Is there a shorter type/brand that will be a happy medium? Also, is there a certain "type" of VC I need? Baffle? Oil Fill? I never knew there was so much involed with valve covers. Thanks!!

I think I have a problem here.

There are many VC types that will clear RR's. What type of rocker arms are they? You don't need an oil filler NECK but an oil fill hole at least would probably be a good idea I have Summit Racing brand over my FMS RR's and the filler hole is on the driver's side - no problems in nearly 5 years. Much better than the FMS covers that I spent 8x as much on.

My mistake, I forgot. I run a blower setup so I eliminate that and run a breather.

As Mr excessive stated , with a little grinding you can probably get the stockers to work . I went with the Nice Ford Racing tall valve covers and am now wishing I didnt . I had to get a 1" spacer and mod the heck out of my throttle linkage bracket to get it to fit . I had a cowl hood already , thank god for clearance issues . Now I want to go back to the stock hood for stealth purposes so I will be looking into some not so tall valve covers .

Not to mention that the 1" spacer lengthens your already long intake runners thus lowering the RPM capability...which will hurt performance.

just use the anderson ford motorsport chrome ones. They fit under my cobra intake(barely) without a spacer and they clear my scorpion rr's as well.
