I am doing a 5 lug swap and have pbr dual piston calipers from a 99 GT. I know lots of people have done this swap and I was wondering how everybody hooked up the front brake lines. I know you can use SS lines from MaximumMotorsports. My car is street only so I don't think I need them. Any suggestions

The drivers side line hooks right up. The passenger side needs a 3/16 X 1/4 brake line adapter... advance auto part # - 327828.1 put it between new hose and original hard line.
I guess you already know about the 1/4 inch spacers you need under the castle nut.
After you get it all hooked up and bled, turn the tie rod ends out 13 rounds each. This was near perfect on mine,(I used my stock A-arms) but yours might be different.

Thanks for the info. Yeah I got Steeda X2 balljoints instead of going with a spacer. So I guess I need a new hose for the passenger side from the caliper to the factory hardline(with the new adapter). Do I get a hose for a 99?

You only need the passenger side adapter if you buy lines specified for a 94+ Mustang. WIth the 99-04 Gt PBR's you will need 99-04 brake lines (they are the same for all models)

However, if you buy lines specified for a Fox, the two sides will be matched fine and there is no need for the adapter. You just need to make sure you have banjo bolts for the PBR calipers.

Good info. I think I'm gonna go with 99-04 lines with the adapter. Thanks for clearing that up for me.

Or you can buy the SN95 brake lines from MM that fit a Fox3. No adapters needed

Go stainless lines if you can. There is a big difference in feel with them

Is it worth going with MM Stainless lines on a street driven car?

Yes. I put SS lines onto my DD GT and the difference was night and day. Pedal feel is better and you have more response as soon as you get onto the pedal.
