I am new to the forum. Thanks for any and all help in advance I really appreciate it!!
I have a 68 mustang Fastback that I am having trouble installing a new steering wheel and 6 bolt adapter on it. The adapter seems to fit really tight against the steering column, too tight. Does the adapter need a sleeve or tube on the steering shaft for it to fit right and bring the adapter up a little? I read that someone with a 68 needed a 3/4 ID tube on the steering shaft for it to fit correctly. Does this sound right? Thanks again for the help/ideas!!
