Help With Fitting 17x9 On 87 Fox

91 with sn95 ball joints should be all you need. Ill see if i can dig up pics with my original 03 04 cobras

I think 91 fenders r larger and stick out more. That may be why mine are so far out.

They have a bigger wheel opening but are no bigger

Alright. I know u said u did spindles and ball joints, did yoi put them on before or after u did the swap. Because these stick out a inch and a quarter and i do not think the spindle will fix it.

No other spindle mods. I think you have the wrong spindle for that wheel offset

Its a 26 offset . I guess ill grab some
94 or 95 spindles. I hope it will fix it.

Could he also be running a different control arm? I thought the 94+ Control arm would push the wheel out as well.


EDIT: 94+ I meant...

94 spindles will put them out, but not like that. I would bet dollars to donuts that he has 2000+ spindles. I run 95 spindles and 17x9 fr500 wheels with the same offset and they do not stick out like that.

What year is ur car ? Can u tell me everything you done to urs so i can change my setup. Pica of urs would be great.

87, stock control arms, 94 spindles. I will need to get pics of the fronts.

Here's the only pic I have that shows the front. They are flush with the fender.

Thats the look . I want i guess i need to get 94 spindles. I think everything else can stay the same ?

should be able to. What brakes are you running? You will have to clearance them if you have dual piston calipers.

New edge calipers. Should have pbr cast into the top of the caliper

Those are 94-98 units. Will bolt right up. Just swap spindles. Double check that you have the right spindle by looking at the curve in the tie rod arms.
