My headlights when looking at them look really cloudy. I was told that if I took them off and cleaned them with some clorox it would help, but I don't know how to take them off...any help on how to get them off or wether the clorox will help is much appreciated.

To be honest, I tried to clean mine and it seemed that it really did no good. It was as if the front lens itself was either permantly clouded or stained and I sure as heck was not going to re-install some nasty headlights. So I just replaced them with some Clear Lens ones along with some clear side markers. Most people refer to them as Cobra Headlight Housings. The ones I able to acqure here locally also came with new lights already installed.

Removal is tedious, but quite simple. First, unplug the battery since you are working in the area of the airbag sensors. Second, remove the headlight housing cover which is directly above the headlights inside the engine compartment. As you look down behind the headlight housing you will see that the only thing really holding your headlights in place is one retaining clip. Using some pliers, remove the one clip and then pull the headlight housing out part way. Once you get it part of the way out, unplug the harness. Installation is reverse of normal. For the side markers, one retaining nut is holding them in place. All you need to do is loosen the nut and remove the side markers for replacement. I am assuming you have a similar mustang like mine.

wow that looks tons better!! mine are quite cloudy also, and i will probably replace mine with the smoked lens (since my car is dark), but that looks good on your car as compared to the stock headlights.

To take your headlights off all you do is pull these black pins out that are behind the headlights. There should be two behind each. It's really easy. Once you have them out you just pull the headlight off. Good luck! Also if you look on 50resto.com they have headlight cleaner. Mustangs are known for getting cloudy looking headlights if you run them a lot.

Get some mag wheel polish.

Just rub it onto the headlights with a little pressure, and whammo. They'll look new.

My Brother used this on my old headlights, (before I got my euro clears), and it made them go from dark(ish) yellow, to white like they were new. It also worked on about five sets of other headlights we used them on. We also touched up with some plastic cleaner we got, but I can't remember the brand.

It's a cheap easy fix.
