I need some help tracking down an issue with my ignition switch. I have been fightig with my 90 to get it running and I have been looking around on here as much as I can to get help. In trying to get the car running I have replaced many parts but nothing is helping so far. I have power and I feel pretty certain that my grounds are good. I unwrapped the wiring harness and tested the fuse links. They all test fine. When I turn the key to the on position the fuel pump primes and I get the dash lights and all the accessories are working except for the door locks and the radio. I can see a voltage in on the radio so I think that may be a separate issue. When I turn teh key to start the car nothing happens. I replaced the switch but nothing changed. I tested all the connections on the switch and they measure 12v except for the wire that goes through the clutch switch and to the starter solenoid. I jumped the clutch switch to take it out of the equation for now but that did nothing. How can that one wire not be getting any power? Can someone please help me. For reference I am using this diagram http://www.veryuseful.com/mustang/tech/engine/images/IgnitionSwitchWiring.gif

you should test the battery first you can get 12 volts everywhere but if the battery is bad it won't provide enough current to engage the starter.remove the battery and have it tested at a local autoparts store its free. and also clean the battery terminals and ensure you have good connections this can also cause a no start issue and show 12 volts everywhere....post results.

With the key in the on position every wire ahows 12v except for the white/pink wire. And the ignition switch was changed over the weekend. This seems very odd to me. From my undertsanding of the wiring scematic power is coming in through the yellow wires and when the switch it acctivated it sends power tot he rest of the wires. But it would make since that I have to turn the ignition to the start position for that wire to get power and that is something that I didn't think about. I feel like a jackass now. I'll check that tonight and see at what points the wire is not getting 12v when cranking.

thanks for the help guys. And I tested the battery two days ago and it was measuring 12v.
