Help with my combo.

I just scored a s trim vortech and a tubular gt40 intake. I'm looking for advise on cylinder heads. I'm looking a lot more at building a fun street car than a race car(Car is a convertible and I won't put a cage in it) I have an opportunity to pick up some canfield heads but I don't know anything about them. I was more thinking edelbrock, twisted wedge, or afr. Also, it is important that the heads are emissions legal(at least in NJ)
Thanks
Rob

pretty much every head you put on there is going to work well. now, if i was you, i could be concerned about the camshaft choice! you could put edelbrock heads, TW, AFR, gt40 or whatever, but if you under cam it or choose one that is more suitable for NA, your going to not get what you should out of it.

Look in to a set of tri state heads. My buddy has had two sets of these and they perform very good they are based off of edelbrocks, and flow about the same as afr's. The only thing is the valve spring that come on them suck we just broke one on the last set of heads he got from them. But the cam was really to big for them.He had a set of there 210cc head with 1.7 roller rockers shiped to his front door for $915.00. Your not going to find a better deal than that.

Boosted engine... doesnt need the bad a$$ heads as the n/a engines... you are forcing the air!! Get on ebay or the classifieds and see what you can find.. However a set of ported E7s or GT40s will allow over 475 WHEEL HP!! SOOOooo... if the name is the game.. anty up the bucks!! If power is the game.. dont over kill!! save a buck or two and get a set of Ported Iron!!
