The other day the end piece of my Smog Head Crossover Pipe came off and i was wondering if i should just take the bolt off and just cap it off or do i need that silver piece that was there before at the end(i don't know what that piece is,looks like a small flying saucer, lol). I don't have a smog pump and nost of my emissions equipemtn is gone since there are no emmisions here. Heres the silver thing at the end that i said looks lie a flying saucer:

if you dont have any emissions equipment and your not worried about emissions! you can cap it off or you can unbolt them from the back of the heads and cap them off there! that way you don't have any of that crap your not using in there! it would look better gone!

OK,thanx for the input guys. Tomorrow i'll just remove the whole thing and cap it off. Is it hard to get back there with the engine in the bay??? If not i'll just cap off the end, actually welding the end shut would be better so it won't come off again under heavy load.

Its a pain in the a$$ gettin to that with the motor in for sure :) I'd just cap it off for now until something comes up that requires ya pull the motor and then fix it right.

I think i'll just cap it off then,i have alot to do and not enough time.I'll just cap it for now and later down the line i'll cap the 2 holes in the back. If i cap it with rubber will it burn out after a while from the heat and pressure??cause this time it came of from launching and racing and its never come off before. And do i lose power when its letting air out?

Since i had to run alot of errands today i just covered the end with a thick rubber cap and put a tight clamp around it. Seems fine now,and no leaks too. Some other day or if the plug comes off i'll take off the whole bar and just plug the back.
