Help with my stang.. wanting to beat a Nissan 300ZX

With my mild options, I spank a local Z quite often. And from the guys bragging "ZbeatYu" tag, he must think that he has a twin-turbo. Maybe he just needs a tune-up?

I just bought a '96 Mustang GT 4.6L V8, and I am looking for help on what mods to put to increase power so I can beat this '90 Nissan 300ZX.

Here are some pictures of my car:

3:73... if dont mind the higher cruising RPM's and minus 1-2mpg, get 4:10's!

But def for daily driver... 3.73's!

4.10's are just fine for daily driving. & i actually got better milage after the gears. with full exhaust & gears i would get 300 per tank.... easy (& this is my last 98 i'm talking about too) :nice:

that car is the n/a model. the turbos would be right there in between the intake piping and the intake manifold. the engine in the tt and n/a model is essentially the same just minus the twin turbos. if its the n/a model you should be able to run with him stock... he may take you tho b/c that car should be around a 14.9 or 15 flat with a good driver. as for the rear spoiler my friend has a tt with no rear spoiler, as far as i know they didnt all come with one but i could be wrong. i looked into getting one and i test drove several tt's and 2 of the 5 did not have spoilers. the tt's are fast BUT i have yet to meet someone who can drive them very well. they do launch horribly and i can easily beat one in my civic. if you had grears heads and exhaust i bet you could walk one easily. the driver is evrything in thos cars and even when i go to the track i hardly ever see a kid that can run that car to its potential, most of them i see run around 14.5 or 14.6 at the track.

my brother used to have that car... he had the 300zx Twin Turbo like a 91 or 92...its a sweet car..light as hell and fast...with the technology they had that car should be running like 14.00 in a 1/4 mile with a good driver maybe a bit more.

They're not that light bro.. NA 300 ZX's are about 3200 lbs.. TT's are at 3400 or so.. They're about the same weight as a stang..

They're a high 13 second car.. They do not launch well. Better topend than a 99+ GT..

But if we're talking N/A, they're not all that quick at all.. About 220 horses.. A non PI GT will not take it easily though.
