Well went to T&J and picked up a stock 03 GT shortblock (5k miles) they had recently pulled. I will hopefully be towing my car to someones shop sometime this week. But I need a lil help first.
1) My car is a 00', so I had a Cobra clutch setup installed (the car, not the com.) So now I have to go back to a 6 bolt setup. Do I need to get a Clutch and flywheel, or just one or the other.

2) I will be ordering VT stage 2 cams from T&J this week also, Do I need to order anything else for the job, or will the cams just "slide in" Im asking because I thought I remember reading somewhere that 99-up needed a specific part, that came on the 96-98 gt's, but I for the life of me I cant remember what it is where I read it
Oh yeah, I already have Modamax Valves and Springs in my heads.

3) Is it a good idea to have my heads worked? before I reinstall them onto the new block?

4) Can someone give me list of all the gaskets I will need.

Thanks for any help /replies.

to my knowledge only the cobras with the forged cranks have a 8 bolt flywheel , even the mach automatics have the cast 6 bolt crank. so I dont think you will need anything , might be wrong though . personally I would have the heads ported before you put them on

Hey FlushEM. Go ahead and get them P&P while you have them off to save you some time off the road. You know you will want to go back and do it later if you don't do it now and you will go "damn.. Mike was right.. should have got them P&P" just do it, be happy and faster.

Mike
