help with rear caliber ebrake cable

i have a 2000 gt and i am trying to replace the right rear brake caliber and got it all apart but i cant get the e brake cable off! what to do?

Pull the parking brake handle as far up as you can, and let it down. Squeeze the round cylinder on the end of the cable with some needle nose vice grips, and maneuver it around. Sometimes, you might have to move the lever on the caliper itself; I use a big flathead screwdriver to do that. If any of this sounds weird, I am sorry; I just did a shot of Absinthe for the first time, and I think it's kicking in.
