i have aa 94 gt conv. i am trying to remove the starter but cant get to the top bolt. i have tried a ratchet and swivel and that didnt work and the only thing i can think of is a long wrench but i dont have one long enough. any advice on how to get to the bolt. :nice:

PITA for sure! I dont remember how I did it but I used a 12in extention (I believe) and got the ratchet back far enough to be able to turn it about and inch at a time.

Be glad you only have 2 the 4.6s have three and its worse than ours.

I always use about 20" worth of extensions and a universal joint to get the top starter bolt. It's the easiest way, IMO, to just use the extensions over top of the passenger side engine mount to reach the top bolt.

Agreed. then replace the bolts with some 12 point ARP bolts... This allows you to get a 3/8" ratcheting wrench on them... last time I changed my starter 15 minutes start to finish.
