I searched around the site but did not find the info I really needed, so I thought I'd start a new post.

Alright here's the specs on my car so all of us can better understand which tires may suit my car the best. 1986 mustang gt hatch, 92 engine swap, x303 cam (love it) stock intake, maul piston rings, ported heads, full exhaust, 1.6 scorpion roller rockers, comp cam roller lifters, 3.73 gears, draglite suspension with subframe connectors and airbag in the right rear, stock 15" 10 hole rims.

I live in winnipeg manitoba canada, so the roads are covered with pot holes and it rains (i have a 99 v6 for the rainy days)

What tires do you think would be best suited for daily driving/track use? Right now I have close to 0 traction with the tires I have now, 1st 2nd and half of 3rd gear with nothing but slipping.
I'm looking into something wide with a large side wall, but don't know how big I should go, I love the look of large rear tires. The car had M/T ET streets with the other owner, which was a good friend of mine and he had one blow out on him the hwy another thing is no matter where he drove the car he always had 2 black strips following him...I think they were to soft for daily driving.

So what tires would best suit my application?

Any input is appreciated.

Here's some pics of the car/ the old tires that he ran I believe they were 25x10.5x15

I dont know if they are "best suited" for daily driving but the mickey thompson drag radials are really nice for traction.
