I am dumping my 17" wheels from my 99GT, for 18"
cobra R y2k's. I am not sure which tire sizes will maintain a
similar look of the stock 17" wheel/tire combo. I like the
sidewall height of the stock setup. Does any one have some pics
of their ride with 18" wheels? I would like to know what others
have done for tire sizes. i am just trying to avoid a real thin
sidewall look. My 99Gt will also be lowered about 1.5 inches.
Thanks a ton!!!

Pics in Sig. I have 265/35-18 Y2K Cobra "R"s

Anything less than 265 is too small. I would suggest 265's or 275's.

Damnnn Gino. I have seen pics before of your, but that car is sick

I use yours for comparison to my Sonic Blue, its wingless, (only the stock Bullitts on there now, but I am wanting to get some Bullitt replicas. Yours are 18X9 up front and 18X10 out back correct?

Love that deep dish look, any pics of a straight out back shot?

Also, :OT: but how did you like that Aluminum driveshaft? I am thinking about doing that next. Do you have caps on the decklid, or did you get that sucker repainted?

Aluminum DS is a good mod, it's much more balanced than the stock one and a LOT lighter. Highway driving is smoother even with the higher revs of the 4.10 gears compared to the stock shaft and gears.

Trunklid is just plugged. Honestly, it doesn't bother me that much....especially for how much it would cost to get it done professionally.

Thanks for the replies and the pics Gino, that thing is sweet. I had a black 5.0 back in the day. Got a lot of compliments about the color, and alot of being stared-down by Johnny Law too

Yeah i was thinking that aluminum driveshaft would do just that, lighter plus make it rev easier. ecspecially with your 4.10's. I got the 3.73's which i am happy with. Seems like the Al D/S is one of those things like the full length SFC's. Just one of those things that fit really well. I am real pleased with my MM SFC's Where did you get your Al D/S from?

Thanks for the link man. Its about 225 at their site, looked at Steeda too, theirs is 259. Dave at JBA quoted me about 225 for the part. I was hoping to find cheaper than that. But will probably just get it from JBA and let them worry about shipping and all that. Thanks again though man

And yeah, i bought some plugs too, just gotta sand the caps and slap on some of that Sonic Blue touch up on them that i got from the dealership.
