Before i put the slowpercharger on, i had blown up my tranny running nitrous, and when i put the new aode in, i put in my edge racing converter which WAS a 3000 rpm stall. The converter felt great. Then i put on the intake and supercharger and all that junk and the thing is stalling out at like 4 grand now. this is a d/d, and since i put the vortech on my powerband is inbetween 4000 to 5000 rpm. It sucks. I talked to the guys at edge racing, and they said that i could send the converter back in and they could re-configure it to stall out at about 2800 for me (what i want), but it would take about a week and a half and cost 150 plus shipping both ways. I was thinking about just throwing my stock converter back in, would that be a problem you think? Just a little fyi, with 10 psi i have maybe gained 3 tenths in the 1/4, that tranny just completly eats the power. anyy suggestions?

im exagerating, what i mean is that since i put the vortech on it doesnt feel that much faster. I havent had it to the track yet to verify how much faster it is, but it really doesnt feel right. When i got it tuned, they said they couldnt get a good reading because the converter/tranny were acting up or something(i dont know) but i can feel it when i go full throttle its like it just doesnt pull hard at all.

If your powerband is 4-5 grand and the converter is stalling up to 4 grand... you should be ripping the streets up. I honestly don't see how a converter reconfigured for 2,800 is going to help your top end you need fixed.

I guess you are hinting you are making a ton more power and the converter is losing it all??

I would lean toward the tranny clutches slipping more.

How long ago was your rebuild? Or did you just put a shift kit in a stock tranny?

The reason I ask is it's possible your stall isn't flashing to 4,000 or so, but the tranny gears are just slipping that bad and your rpm is spiking.
