I just purchased my cobra and for some reason the FOB does not work with the alarm. I tried to learn it into the system but no luck on that. does anyone have any ideas? it's an older viper with the older 2 button remote. :Track:

Thanks. In that case I would check two things first. One, make sure the batteries in the transmitter are good and second make sure the antenna on the brain unit is in a good spot. A lot of companies like the antenna to be grounded to a good metal surface of the vehicle so the entire body can act as the antenna. Also, most alarms will blink a certain number of times when you first put the key in the ignition and turn to the acc position. The number of times that the LED blinks = the number of remotes programmed for that brain. I would be curious if the brain you have is at it's maximum number before requiring to be all together reprogrammed.
