Help!

so i changed the throttlebody gasket on my 90 5.0 lx and it started having a over heatin problem so i checked for a vaccumm leak and fixed that then checked the fluid in the rad. and that was ok i drove it again and it over heated again but the strange thing was the intake manifold was at a good temp and the bottom was red hot any ideas? water pump?

Ummm... just a throttle body gasket change? Wierd, must be a coincidence.

How old is the thermostat? Is it eating coolant? May be waterpump, but replacing a T-stat and diagnosing a blown headgasket is much easier than replacing a water pump (note I said diagnosing, not replacing).

wat's the easiest way to find out if i had a blown head gasket?

Unscrew your oil fill cap and look for a foamy substance on the bottom of it or remove the dipstick and do the same or pull the spark plugs and inspect for signs of burnt coolant.

I've found the easiest way to "suspect" it is dissappearing coolant and milky oil, although it can take a little time to show up in the oil if the gasket is just lifted.
