Finalllllly Get to tear into my stang...... Long time in waiting..

Ok this is the deal

Im doing a COMPLETE rebuild.... I was wanting to know some good cams, cranks, pistons.... you know the internals.... Im replacing everything..

Then a good aftermarket manual tranny....
and clutch.......

This is going to be my first built modified engine... and Im not to sure on brans......

what do have in mind of doing with the motor? drag strip dedicated, daily driver?

You going to do the heads also or no? Cams I would suggest VT Stage 1 or 2, or blower if you plan on that, or Comp cams. Your stock GT crank is good to at least 400 hp if u plan on going above that I would get a cobra crank. There's a few sites u should check out for all the internals just www.vtengines.com, www.modularpowerhouse.com, www.modulardepot.com all those places have excellent parts, I've never heard anything bad about modularpowerhouse.
Transmission IMHO the best is a nice TKO 500/600, but if u want a 6 speed then the T-56 is always a nice option. Clutch I would go with a Spec stage ? depending on how much power u plan on going. Anything over 400 I would go with a Stage 2 or 3.

Maybe it would be quicker and more cost effective to buy a crate engine from FRPP...?

Im doing a complete rebuilt, the only thing i want to keep is the block... and thank I am going to bore .30 or .40 over.... and hone....... I am wanting to make a street/drag..... I just am not sure where to start on buying parts for it

I plan on putting a stage 2 clutch in.....

Hey what is the pressure on stock injectors? isnt it 20 something

i think i read somewhere the stock injectors were 19lb/hr, then they uprgraded to 24lb/hr in 01 or 02? i could be wrong.

as stated above, check out modularpowerhouse and vtengines. they'll have everything you'll need
