helping a friend with a problem

Buddy of mine has a 95 that is pulling the timing when he shifts, this is a problem with his nitrous setup. Is there a way around this with out having to buy a chip? If not is a sct chip the best? car has intake, tb, cam, and the usual bolt ons with a zex nitrous kit.

The OEM tune pulls timing between shifts (unless you don't lift).

If he's running nitrous he should really get a tune. Running N2O without a proper tune can lead to big problems.
