Hesitation Help

My buddy has a 91 GT with 30lb injectors and a matching 30lb mass airflow sensor, the car also has a small cam (not sure which one). He is having a problem with starting his car in the morning to go to work, and it has a hesitation problem. It will stutter, but if you let off then gun it, it will clear up. We have replaced the fuel filter, Idle Air, and Tps. Any suggestions??

plugs gapped right and plenty of spark? any type of aftermarket ignition system? does he have mods that requires that big of an injector?

Why is he running 30# injectors? Can you give a complete mods list?

no mods, they were on the car when he bought it. Stock ignition, plugs gapped right (as far as I know his mechanic did them with a tune up) Ford Racing Blue Wires. Flowmaster mufflers, off-road H-pipe. Stock air box with a K&N filter. No AC, no smog. New clutch and cooling fan. Shorty headers. Just trying to make sure i cover everything.

We have a new problem with this. Driving down the road the running the car if you let off after first the check engine light will come on, but if you tap the gas or the brakes it goes off. Any help?

Pull codes!!! Should always be first step with a problem like this, codes can be stored without the CEL being on...
