I have the old B&M Street Stick and a manual valvebody. The old 1-D-1 shuffle can cause both the overdrive and reverse bands to apply prematurely and burn out. What rpm are you trying to shift at? You might be shifting to 2nd too high and when it drops down, it's already at the shift point to go into third and therefore you actually miss second gear all together. That's what was happening with mine and I had to get the manual valvebody to stop burning it up. With a standard AOD, the shift point can't be much higher than 5200-5300 and still get every gear.

I can shift the car at 4500 and it will just skip 2nd and jump into 3rd ...
haven't tried any rpm higher than that due to the fact i hardly race the car, but i just wanted to knoe if there is a way to regulate 2nd gear and if so how do we go about it(without getting a manual valvebody

slamming gears should be pretty fun, i tried to slam them tonight but like i said the shifter wasn't fully engaging the gears, but it works great.
That will be a blast! Hey do you have any engine pics by chance? I was gonna build a 460 but i'm going with a 408 instead. I was just courious how tight of a fit the 460 would of been? peace

You know you have two cables on your throttle body. Take off the throttle valve cable and turn it over. You should see where you can push the white tab up to unlock it but mark the original position before you do. Then you move the black casing back on the cable about 1/4 inch and then push the tab back in. This increases the amount of line pressure and causes the tranny to shift higher and firmer just like a shift kit does. Once you know how to do this, then you can adjust it from now on however you like because it'll help give a higher WOT shift point but also normal driving shift points will be higher too. Plus, this is free!!! Try it out and all you need to do this is a flat head screwdriver.

I got it engaging all the gears perfectly except 1st (really tall gear too, like i need it) if i have first then park doesn't engage quite right.

Im gonna get the hammer C4 conversion kit, and the C6 bracket and lever kit which should make it line up correctly.

Summit PN's: BMM-81020 and BMM-40497

Other small problems:

1) When in D, it shifts through first into second at about 5 mph then 2nd to 3rd is fine, the modulator is adjusted almost all the way in and my kickdown cable is adjusted right.

2) When manually downshifting from D to 2nd, it sometimes takes about 2 seconds for it to down shift, but upshifts are very fast.

Thanks.....
