i haven't even looked at how to mount this thing up, lol and im usually on stangnet more then in my car (sadly) so i just thought i'd ask. i want to know how everyone mounted theres
Aluminum strap, screws into the shroud and ends of aluminum strips folded over the rad edges...perfect for my setup. The pics are mockups on my old rad for fitment check.
Then with some playtime and a saw I worked the stock shroud back to position.
Tape the ends of the straps where ever they come in contact with the rad to prevent any possible damage from metal on metal contact. The fan is SECURE there is no movement or vibration. Another nice feature is the stock shroud hides the fan making for a clean install in my opinion.....final pic is just shows fan clearance on the water pump pulley.
i love it DMAN .......that set up is what im going for but i have a mark8 fan im going to see if i can make it work tonight .......if not i think i will definatly do the taurus fan because i really want to keep the stock shroud for some reason........have you ever seen the canton overflow tanks for stock shrouds ?
Thanks man...if you take a little time and fight with it you can keep the top portion of the fan shroud, you just need to get inventive with a saw to get the fit. Make sure you have the fan in it's final position before you begin to mod the shroud.
