I was on Stang Net years ago . I have owned five Mustangs over my life , 65 coupe , 65 2+2 , 89 notch , 07 GT and presently a 14 V6 in race red . Now I am back and looking at a project Mustang . I have not decided for sure but I am considering , don't scorch me too bad , a Mustang 2 hatchback . I'm 75 and love wrenchin on cars and motorcycles . I am a musician and , as my handle suggests , a maker of Applachian dulcimers, semi-retired . Looking forward to a new chapter in my Mustang journey . Thanks

Now that's a rowdy concept there. Some things just shoulda been offered from the factory!
It may have been a much maligned car but served a purpose in the grander scale of history. I'm just glad that Ford didn't kill the Mustang altogether, like chevy did the Camaro (twice!). The Mustang II was kind of like an investment in the stock market - it may lose appreciation and value for a season, but will come back if you hang onto it! I think a Mustang II project would be awesome - easy to work on and so light you can make a performance monster w/o much effort.
