Anybody out there using HID headlights in an '05/06 Mustang? I am considering them for my '06 GT 'vert. I want them to look similar to my Silverstar fogs, white with just a tinge of blue. I am looking at either a 6000K or an 8000K system. Since these only have one level, not high/low, do they reach out down the road like highs and do they "blind" other drivers? How do they work in the rain? Over all, do you like them and would you recommend them? Thanks.

I am getting the Saleen HID's for my pony, and I can't wait to get them on her!

If you are not used to true HID lights, it might take a while to get used to them. We also have a 2005 S2000 that has some bitchin' HID's on it, and I almost hate driving the pony at night because I feel like I can't see as well. They do light up everything so much better.

Just my $.02.....

HIDs

One concern I have is that with an HID conversion kit, the reflector in the Mustang may not be designed correctly for this type of light. A lighting engineer I spoke with said if the reflector isn't right, the HID lights will really dazzle other drivers. This is why I'd like to hear from somebody that has actually done this conversion.

i got my saleen hids from ummm saleen. lol. i got them right when they came out and didnt care about paying full price. maybe you can get them for less. and i wouldnt get a converion kit, since u will lose highbeams. and if u get a high/low hid conversion kit, u will be very unhappy, they suck and always get stuck. DO NOT buy a high/low conversion kit.
