Something is wrong with my car. It idles high. It'll be fine when its first started up for the day, then it'll idle high and wont stop. It'll run hot too when it idles high. I CAN NOT afford to bring it to a shop to be looked at. All i been doing was the 'wiggle test' and swapping parts off a buddys car. I tried my friends tps and that didnt help. I disconnected the throttle cable with car running and that did nothing. Lowering the idle screw all the way out did nothing (lowered it a tad, but still too high) I tried 2 maf's and no help. What can I do? I'm gonna see if i can try a buddys iac and see if that does anything. I wonder if my computer is bad? Maybe I have a bad injector? (fms 30's) The car has been fine for 2 weeks, now its idling high again! Help..

About 2k rpm, maybe a lil lower. I pulled the iac just now and am cleaning it, ill try in an hour or so. I tried starting it with the iac off and duct tape covering the whole where the iac goes. It wouldnt start and when it did, it died right away. Pray for me that cleaning it helps lol....

I think I found my problem. Its a bad IAC. I tried my friends IAC and my car didnt idle high (it surges though) I put mine back in and it idled high. I cleaned the IAC today and it didnt idle as high, but its still high. Then to be 100% sure I put my friends back in and again, it idled normal, just surged a bit. So, i'm gonna call ford tomorrow and see how much a new IAC is. Then, hopefully I can get it tomorrow and reset my idle and maybe, just maybe my car will actually run/idle good.

Well, I picked up a new IAC from Ford. car does not idle high. It just has its normal warm start idle surge, then seems to be fine after that. I have a pro-m remote optimizer comming probably by friday and i'm gonna put my pro-m 80mm maf back in and tune with that. Hopefully I can tune my idle so it won't surge on a warm start or surge at all. I have 30lb injectors and my pro-m is for 24's. The optimizer helps make that works fyi.
